Review: Based on what everybody said, Real Steal is like Over The Top plus Rocky with Robots. Over The Top because theres a man, his son, and a truck. Rocky because its obvious. Put these films together and add robots and minus Stallone. Real Steel is not very innovating though but its excitingly great and has plenty of heart. Its also the return of Hugh Jackman although we just saw him a little last June. There are lot of things to recommend in Real Steel.
The premise isnt really that intriguing. Its boxing replaced by robots. Films with Giant CGI Robots are not innovating since we have Michael Bays Transformers. But the heart and soul lies to the relationship of Charlie and Max and their robot, Atom. Its fun to watch them. The fighting scenes are pretty exciting. That is what most underdog fighting movies do. The only problem here is the weak major antagonist. Its not really that threatening or a big deal. Ricky was more threatening than the gigantic Zeus.
The filmmaking is pretty decent. Well shot scenes. The CGI robots and the music score are good enough. Nothing to say about the production design except Charlies truck. It looks fascinating for some reason. The performances were great. We dont see Hugh Jackman in action movies after two years and theres a small cameo of him, flipping off two characters(its obvious but I wont tell you the title). Here in Real Steel, Jackman is energetic and somewhat perfect for the role. Dakota Goyo is a bit charming. Chemistry of him and Jackman shines through the film. Its fun to watch them together.
There arent much new here in Real Steel but in the end, its enjoyable and has plenty of heart. The climax isnt so much overwhelming but it intends to be more heartfelt. Again, its like Over The Top which the father is trying to make his son proud and Rocky because its boxing and add some robots in it. Even without thinking much about the robots, there is always human heart in this film. Hugh Jackman does it again. The underdog fighting movie genre does it again. Its really a fun film for the whole family.
I agree with you on Real Steel – the first half hour of it was great, actually. tailed off a bit towards end but still a way better film than it should have been
incredible what a terrific film. I was heading to see Real Steel in the movie theater but instead I viewed it right here for totally free
I thought Real Steel was interesting, it was a new type of horror movie, and a smart one as well. After that it all went downhill. I saw 3 movies too many. Now I cannot bear to even watch this movie again, but, apparently there are still people out there that can enjoy a movie like this and I am glad they can.
The film Real Steel is worth it to watch. the Real Steel is so fantastic. It’s a strangely paced movie and suffers at times from incredibly long exposition and poorly contrived story lines that seem to be added to no doubt develop the storyline rather than the Real Steel story that I wanted to see.
Real Steel combines parts of Pocahontas and Braveheart which includes a liberal dose of Room Marines into an epic complete that requires practically 3 total hours to unfold. We could criticise that length, the weak story along with the hammy dialogue. We could attack its thinly-veiled ecological message or even the frankly bizarre spirituality in its second 50 % but honestly practically nothing can spoil the encounter even though youre enveloped in it. As well as a great element of that could be down for the brilliant use of 3D – that is both subtle and extremely helpful. Til now, we are actually having films with 3D factors, Avatar would be the earliest h onestly 3D movie and may well nicely prove to work as a person for this most substantial items to come about to blockbuster film-making considering the fact that Real Steel.
amazing just what a good flick. I was heading to watch Real Steel in the theater but instead I enjoyed it here for cost-free

Real Steel is a genuinely great movie– disappointing summer aside. It’s more refreshing, perhaps, due to the fact that this season has been so lacking, but Real Steel easily deserves praise all on its own merits rather than by lack of good competition.
seriously what a awesome flick. I was heading to look at Real Steel in the cinema but instead I enjoyed it here for cost-free

The film Real Steel is worth it to view. the movie is so phenomenal.
I didn’t find it to long, it was at times a little too knowing and even self indulgent but I guess a film like that has to be! It makes my top ten of the year so far. Lets see if it stays there!
The video is worth it to view. the motion picture is so cool. It’s a curiously paced show and suffers at times from astonishingly long exposition and poorly contrived story lines that seem to be added to no doubt produce the storyline rather than the online video story that I wanted to see.
The two great things about Real Steel are the look and the acting. When I say feel I am referring to everything from the costumes and makeup all the way to the photography combining to capture the look of the time perfectly. The soundtrack is also pretty good too as you would expect!
